Public Invited to Resolve Outstanding Bench Warrants

Individuals with active bench warrants in non-violent misdemeanor, traffic and parking cases are invited to the Metropolitan Court’s Warrant Resolution Day on Friday, November 8th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Domestic violence, DWI and felony warrants are not eligible for consideration for this event.

“Warrant Resolution Day gives individuals a chance to work with a judge to address outstanding warrants and avoid the risk of being arrested during a routine traffic stop or at home in front of family,” said Court Executive Officer Robert L. Padilla.  “People will be able to walk out with their case(s) resolved or with an upcoming court date and in good standing with the Court.”

The event will take place at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Courthouse, located at 401 Lomas Blvd. NW.  The public is reminded that cell phones, electronics, weapons, and outside food or drink are not permitted.  There will be free parking available in the public parking structure located just north of the courthouse.

Attorneys from the Private Defense Bar, the Law Offices of the Public Defender and the 2nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office will be on-site to advise individuals and to discuss options prior to appearing before a judge.

Note: The following cases are NOT eligible for consideration: Domestic Violence, DWI and felony cases.

Those wanting to find out if they have an active warrant or if they are eligible for this unique opportunity can call the court’s Customer Service Division at (505) 841-8151, or go online to: https://caselookup.nmcourts.gov/caselookup/
